-Henry Ruddock was born in 1612 at Warwick, Warwickshire, England. He married Mabel Burroughs who was also born in Warwick in 1617. He emigrated to Warwick, Rhode Island where he was the Town Clerk. He relocated to Matinecock, Long Island, New York before 1635.
 
Their daughter Mary married Christopher Hawxhurst, a son of Reverend Sampson Hawxhurst, and they lived at Oyster Bay.  In the next generation their daughter Mary Hawxhurst married George Townsend. They were Quakers.
