Notes for Rev. Ephraim Huit - Direct Ancestor (Family North American Pioneer)
-Reverend Ephraim Huit was born in about 1593 in Warwickshire, England. He matriculated from St. John’s College at Cambridge in 1611, obtaining his B.A, in 1615. He was a curate at Cheshire and at Knowle, Warwickshire. While a chaplain at Wroxall he was “silenced” by bishop Laud. He “left his living” at Wroxall. He married Isabel Overton, born about 1596 at Solihull, Warwickshire, England on 22 April 1622 at Tarvin, Cheshire, England.  They were Puritans. They left England for Connecticut in 1639, accompanying Reverend John Warham to Windsor, Connecticut where they settled overseeing the Church.
 
Their daughter Lydia married Lieutenant Joseph Smith, son of Samuel Smith and Elizabeth Van Vechten Chileab.
