Notes for Nicolas Desborough - Direct Ancestor (Family North American Pioneer)
-Nicolas Desborough was born on 16 June 1612 in Saffron Walden, Essex England. He married Mary Bronson who was born on 6 March 1622 at Earl’s Colne, Essex, England. They emigrated to Hartford on or before 1639.  He participated in the Pequot War of 1637. He was a Cabinetmaker and Carpenter by trade. He was Surveyor of chimney’s on four occasions and was appointed Surveyor of Highways in 1665. He had a disturbing incident about a chest of clothes which that person believed was inappropriately detained by Nicholas. Probably due to a dispute over payment for Nicholas serves. Nothing much changes!

Their daughter Mary married Obadiah Spencer, son of Thomas Spencer and Ann Derifield.
